Kylie Ip

Kylie's design practice blends technical fluency with a deep interest in storytelling through place. Originally from Hong Kong, she draws inspiration from the diverse landscapes she’s experienced throughout North America, Asia, and Europe to shape her understanding of cultural and ecological expression, memory and belonging. After completing a degree in civil engineering at the University of British Columbia, she pursued a Master of Landscape Architecture to merge her creative interests with the tangible process of shaping spaces for people to enjoy.

Outside the studio, Kylie enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and getting her hands dirty tending a local community garden and a classical Chinese garden in Vancouver’s Chinatown. She also finds joy in knitting and spending time in moss-covered forests with her friends.
