CBC Plaza

The CBC plaza integrated the landmark CBC broadcast building with two new residential towers. 

The project transformed an underused plaza space to make it more welcoming, friendly and supportive of community-building events. Our plan helped create an urban oasis surrounding an outdoor stage, reaching out to the city to attract diverse audiences. The project brings the energy and experience of the radio and TV studios from the inside to the outside. 

Neighbouring residential towers overlook the plaza, so we created a ‘front yard’ green space that is unified with the existing building while remaining welcoming to the wider community.
